How Long Each Surface Is Covered
Garages and interior floors: 10 years.
Patios, driveways, and other exterior concrete: 2 years.
Deck systems: 2 years on our workmanship, plus the manufacturer’s material warranty. Manufacturer terms vary by system and are written on your estimate.
Coverage starts the day we finish.
What’s Covered
- Prep and installation defects. Peeling, chipping, or delamination caused by our surface prep or installation is covered.
- Moisture-related peeling. Moisture coming up through the slab is covered. Many coating warranties exclude it.
- Recommended moisture systems. If testing shows your slab needs a moisture barrier, it appears as a separate line on your estimate. Coverage stays the same unless you decline a barrier we recommended.
What Isn’t Covered
- Concrete movement. Cracks or movement in the concrete itself are not covered.
- Sun and tires. Fading from sunlight, tire scuffing, and staining from high-performance tires are not covered.
- Damage and chemicals. Damage from chemicals, fuel, ice melt, dropped tools, or gouges from metal shovel edges is not covered.
- Wear and old coatings. Normal topcoat wear and recoats over coatings we did not install, including old epoxy and Kool Deck, are not covered.
Care Requirements
How to Keep Your Coverage in Force
Clean the floor at least once a year. Use a pH-neutral cleaner with a mop. We recommend Zep Neutral pH Floor Cleaner.
You can also use a pressure washer under 2,000 PSI with a 35-degree tip. Hold it a couple of feet back at a 45-degree angle.
Skip degreasers, abrasive pads, and ice melt. They can damage the finish and void coverage.
Important Details
Ownership and Deck Material Coverage
The warranty belongs to the original owner and does not transfer to a new buyer.
For deck systems, our 2-year warranty covers workmanship. Westcoat or Polycoat covers the materials separately under the manufacturer terms listed on your estimate. Keeping the coating resealed on schedule keeps both warranties in force.
